There are numerous dental products available on the market ensuring the ultimate oral hygiene as well as helps prevent cavities, tooth decay and toothache. Products such as toothbrushes, floss, mouthwashes and tooth whitening agents can be obtained over the counter or from your Nashville dentist. There are also various name brands available and it is a matter of choice to which brands are the best.

The History of Dentistry and dental products dates back as far as the 1700′s. Dentistry is a branch of medicine involving the prevention and diagnosis as well as treatment of teeth and gum diseases as well as the maintenance of healthy teeth and gums. The first natural bristle toothbrushes were invented by the Chinese which were made from the neck hair of a pig. The use of toothbrushes was promoted in the early 1700′s by a French dentist and the toothbrush was first patented in the US. The first nylon toothbrush was manufactured in 1938.

The first electric toothbrush was manufactured in 1939 and was developed in Switzerland. The first cordless rechargeable toothbrush was manufactured in 1961 and the first rotary electric toothbrush for home use appeared in 1987. China and India were the first to use toothpaste which dates back to 500BC and modern toothpastes were developed in the early 1800′s. Toothpaste in a jar was mass produced by Colgate and Colgate was the first to add fluoride to toothpaste which is still a well known and loved brand name.

The dentist can prescribe home whitening kits. As long as the dentist doesn’t see a threat to your dental health, he or she can prescribe a powerful home kit for your needs.

There could be some side effects of home kits. Because the home kits require that you to dry overnight, saliva from the mouth could cause blotching of the teeth. Even with alcohol to dry the teeth, bleach sometimes doesn’t work as well. Make sure that you read the directions carefully.

Whitening strips are becoming more popular today because of its simplicity and cost. A user merely needs to apply the dental strip at night. These strips are available over the counter, so anyone can purchase whitening strips. However, you need to be cautious about the effectiveness. The strips are flat. Because teeth are not technically flat, the effectiveness of the strips may not reach all parts of the upper and lower teeth.

The wide selections of teeth whitening procedures have allowed consumers to easily get dental treatments at the right price. By careful understanding of the products available, you can further ensure a whiter smile. In order to have a attractive smile, you need to buy dental equipment such asĀ dental apex locator.

It is important that you never, ever submerse your highspeed handpiece in any liquid solution, or place it in the ultrasonic cleaner without first removing the turbine, o-rings, springs & clips.

I have had a couple of calls recently from clients experiencing bearing failure who wanted me to see if I could pin-point the reason.

It was easy to determine the handpieces had been submersed in liquid and placed in the ultrasonic, without first removing the turbine. Upon questioning my clients, it was revealed someone had told them if the highspeeds seem a little sluggish, to place them in a zip lock bag, fill it with vinegar and place in the ultrasonic.

Anyone who gives you this kind of advice is either incompetent or malicious. I would be suspicious of anything else they might tell you.

No matter what brand you have, this process is devastating to the turbine! Every manufacturer of highspeed handpieces tells you specifically not to submerse the highspeed in any liquid.

The ultrasonic cleaner will remove the grease from the bearings, ruining them, even without using any cleaning agents; and the grease, when dislodged will find another place to go (not a good thing). It also distorts the o-rings and removes lubrication from the chuck assembly, which will cause it to fail as well.

There are several different categories of dental equipment that a typical dental practice needs to operate. The first category of equipment is Amalgams and Accessories. This category of dental equipment deals with the filling materials and application tools that dentists use to fill the clean holes that they create in teeth when treating a cavity. Some of the items in this category include: alloys, alloy lab accessories, amalgam capsules, amalgam pellets, amalgam powder, amalgamators and parts, capsules and pestles and mercury.

The second category of dental equipment is lab instruments. This category of dental items includes things that are used for diagnosing dental problems and for creating dental products. Some of the items in this category include: lab chisels, lab scrapers, lab knives, lab scissors, and lab waxing instruments.

The third category of dental equipment deals with administrative tasks. In this category you are going to find items that are used for billing, organizing and tracking financial and medical records. Some of the items in this category include: insurance forms, tax forms, files, tags and record forms.

You can buy dental equipment such as dental scalers from internet.
